Premier League Darts: Luke Littler beats Luke Humphries in Leeds for record-equalling sixth nightly win

Luke Littler made it a hat-trick of nightly wins, claiming a record-equalling sixth of the 2026 Premier League Darts season as he beat Luke Humphries 6-5 in the final on Night 14 in Leeds.

Leeds United fan Humphries, in the process, was denied a hat-trick of his own as, having been victorious in 2024 and 2025 in Leeds, he was this time to be denied as he missed with a match dart when leading 5-4.

Humphries spurned a dart at tops, opening the door for Littler to instead claim victory on the next leg to equal his own nightly wins record from 2025 and further stretch his lead at the top of the table.

The pair traded holds of throw to kick off the match, before Humphries impressively took out 132 on the bullseye, only for Littler to respond with a whopping 146 checkout of his own to level proceedings again.

Five more holds of throw followed in a high-quality contest, before Humphries broke to lead 5-4. However, Littler survived his match dart in the 10th leg, cooly dispatched a 64 checkout before breaking throw with a 14-dart leg to ensure yet another nightly victory.

Helping soften Humphries' defeat is the fact that he at least moves into the final Play-Off spot with two weeks remaining, courtesy of the three points earned across his quarter-final and semi-final victories over Josh Rock and Stephen Bunting.

He sits fourth on 19 points, one better off than Michael van Gerwen who was beaten by Littler in the quarter-finals.

Luke Littler, speaking to Your Site:

"A very good night. Every game, apart from the first match [between Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton], went to a last-leg decider so the crowd definitely got their money's worth tonight!

"I'm very happy with myself and now I can go on to break my own record.

"Seeing Luke miss for the match was crucial. I pounced on it. But it was another good game between us.

"I'll take winning three nights in a row! I'm in the clear now and I just need to keep top spot."

Littler made it through to a fifth-straight nightly final courtesy of victories over Van Gerwen and second-in-the-table Clayton.

Littler's meeting with Van Gerwen had started in somewhat comical fashion as the pair contrived to miss 21 total darts at double before eventually finding their form - Littler landing an impressive 141 checkout in the fifth leg of the match.

As for Humphries, he ensured a final meeting between the world's top two for the second week running as he got the better of Rock and Bunting, albeit the latter spurned a golden chance to triumph in their semi-final, which was arguably the match of the evening.

Humphries averaged 106.68 to defy Bunting's six 180s and average north of 105.

'The Bullet', seventh in the table and running out of time to sneak a Play-Off spot, was 5-3 up before losing his throw twice as Humphries took the final three legs, including the decider in which Bunting spurned three match darts.

It means he is six points behind the defending champion in fourth, while Gian van Veen is three back in sixth and Van Gerwen trails by a single point in fifth.

"Bunting has to be kicking himself." Your Site' John Part said. "To play that well and have tops left to wrap it up, he really had some chances.

"That's so costly a miss for Bunting. It was last chance. After the way he played, he's going to feel so disappointed."

Van Veen was beaten by Bunting in the quarter-finals, while Price lost 6-2 to Clayton in the only match of the night not to go to a deciding leg. He stays third on 21 points, three clear of MVG.

Rock is now officially out of contention for Finals Night, still rooted to the bottom of the table on eight points, 11 off the Play-Offs and with only 10 points left to play for.
